The Mobile Sustainable Transitions Schools are “schools” that provide a space for engagement by TRAJECTS’ beneficiaries with local actors and inputs from local actors to discuss global debates on sustainability transitions. This year’s mobile school took place from 30 August to 5 September 2024 and focused on utility scale solar energy, where solar farms subjugate the landscapes in the Northern Cape.

This exploratory research highlights the diverse socio-environmental challenges faced by women in the North and Northeast regions of Brazil. It identifies potential gaps and opportunities for the philanthropy sector to engage with the just energy transition from a gender- and intersectionality-based perspective in the country. The aim is to expand knowledge exchange and facilitate shared learning between Brazil and Germany.
