We invite you to our fourth Dialogue for Sustainable Transitions: State of the Art of Global Energy Transition with a Governance Approach. Global Perspectives with Emphasis on Latin America, which will take place in the framework of the First Governance Summit for Just Energy Transition and Peace, Transitions for Life.

In this space we will explore the global dynamics and local challenges of energy transition with a special focus on governance and policies needed to foster equitable and sustainable change in Latin America.

JVL: The Role of Circular Economy in Shaping Just Energy, Climate, and Sustainability Transitions

We are pleased to share that TRAJECTS successfully hosted a Joint Virtual Lecture on Tuesday, September 17th, at 3 pm (Berlin time) at TU Berlin and online. This event focused on "The Role of Circular Economy in Shaping Just Energy, Climate, and Sustainability Transitions."

The lecture featured three distinguished speakers, each bringing a wealth of knowledge and diverse perspectives to the discussion:

  • Prof. Matthias Finkbeiner from TU Berlin
  • Prof. Andrea Carolina Cardoso Díaz from Universidad del Magdalena
  • Prof. Harro von Blottnitz from the University of Cape Town

Each speaker offered unique insights into the circular economy's role in driving sustainable energy, climate action, and broader sustainability transitions. Following these presentations, a dynamic panel discussion will took place, allowing the audience to engage directly with the experts in a meaningful dialogue.

The event was streamed live via Zoom with simultaneous translation into Spanish, enabling participants from different regions to actively take part. You can watch the videos of the session in both English and Spanish below.

We invite you to revisit our second Dialogue on Just Transitions: "Facing the anthropocene and the environmental climate crisis from the wisdom of native peoples and traditional communities".

This space focused on traditional knowledge as a tool to face the socio-environmental crises of the Anthropocene, marked by climate change, which is generating extreme conditions to which we must adapt, where ancestral knowledge offers us numerous answers.

Sustainable Transitions Dialogue: The Role of Industry and Vocational Education in Coal Exit Labor Reconversion
