Each year, the TRAJECTS Centre opens applications for fully funded Research Stays, offering scholars and practitioners the opportunity to collaborate across institutions within its network for a three-month period.
In 2025, TRAJECTS is launching the call for Junior and Senior Research Stays, offering 34 placements at 25 partner institutions within its network. These 3-month stays represent an excellent opportunity to contribute to transitions toward sustainability and climate change mitigation. Since 2021, TRAJECTS has proudly awarded 68 Junior Research Stay (JRS) and 22 Senior Research Stay (SRS) scholarships. The JRS program supports internships for young researchers from, to, or within the Global South, while the SRS program provides support for either research stays or writing fellowships for experienced researchers from, to, or within the Global South.
The program focuses on critical issues driving just and sustainable transitions and climate change mitigation, with a special emphasis on two key areas: 1) phasing out fossil fuels and 2) land management and ecosystem protection. The 2025 call for applications opens in early February.
